August 2015 SHIFT Forum: Living Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise

Life on Your Terms

For people at midlife, increasing life expectancies have made the issue of financial security more important than ever. The longer we live, the greater our chance of experiencing health-related changes that affect our future income needs, responsibilities, and obligations.

bad_credit_job_searchThe August SHIFT Forum will focus on what’s most important as you plan for your future financial health. In her work as an independent financial adviser, our speaker, Maura Albrecht, has made it her goal to assist successful aging by guiding the financial decisions of people facing the increasing challenge of maintaining their standard of living, and the uncertainty of outliving their income. In her Forum presentation, Maura will describe steps we can take to meet those challenges:

  • Tools for identifying future income needs
  • Legal documents to obtain and their uses
  • The importance of asset title and beneficiary designation
  • Techniques for initiating family conversations about financing long-term care, caregiver responsibilities, and aging in place
