July 2018 Forum – Navigating the Challenges of Working with Recruiters with Marcia Ballinger, PhD.

What is the Difference Between a Retained Recruiter, and Other Forms of Job Recruiters?  How Does This Work?

Please join us for this informative, interactive discussion on how to work with recruiters…retained and others and have an opportunity to have your questions answered and be more successful in your job pursuits!

Some of the topics she will cover are:

  • Since we are in the month of July and the first half of the year has passed, is this a good/not so good time to conduct a search?
  • How do you connect with a retained search firm when you have no relationship with them?
  • How open should I be with search firms regarding compensation; what “really” happened with my departure from my former company; my willingness to move, etc.?
  • Can I realistically change professions today…….I have a background of experience that covers two different areas of functional expertise…..CFO & Operations?

We will be utilizing Marcia’s favorite format for this event, “open mike”,  where participants can ask her specific questions on this topic. Therefore, do come prepared to ask questions that either bothered you or a process that confused you or that you did not understand!
