A Ten-Point Guide to Heartfelt Success
A couple of years ago, Mary Farr posed that question to a large retreat group. Nobody raised a hand. So she continued to float the same question with others, until a theme eventually emerged—that life offers us plenty of opportunities and successes. It also tests us with setbacks, hellos, and good-byes. Relationships ebb and flow. Jobs begin and end. Responsibilities mount. Sickness and losses arise. Inevitably we need to correct our course or reset our sails for a new, sometimes unexpected, leg of the journey.
At the January SHIFT Forum, Mary will draw from 30 years of interviewing, writing, and listening to stories of individuals from all walks of life to show that we each possess a wealth of resources to initiate, investigate, and recreate the way we travel our shifting courses. Unlike traditional job skills, these personal assets embody resilience, courage, imagination, humor, and much more. Whether you are building a Plan B, or refreshing the one you’re currently piloting, her presentation will shine a light on new ways to make the most of abilities you already possess. She’ll provide ten tools to help identify your own personal assets, gifts that can help shape a rewarding next plan—a Plan B.
