Daytime Workshop: Leveraging LinkedIn for Your Job Search
A hands on workshop focused on building your LinkedIn Profile!
Calling all job seekers: The way that people are sourcing talent for open positions has changed. Finding a job is no longer about the quality or color of paper you choose for your resume. People are looking for talent for open positions online using LinkedIn. They’re likely to form their first impression of you (and perhaps their last) based on how your LinkedIn profile looks and sounds.
If your profile needs some improvement to stand up to this kind of scrutiny, join SHIFT for a two-hour, hands-on workshop led by executive branding and LinkedIn coach, Carol Kaemmerer. Carol will share LinkedIn best practices and a few tricks, including:
- How to tap into your personal brand to create a profile that is memorable
- How to showcase your skills and accomplishments using both paid and non-paid experience
- How to craft a keyword-rich, eye-catching LinkedIn headline
BRING YOUR LAPTOP COMPUTER or tablet and your LINKEDIN PASSWORD. All attendees are expected to have an established LinkedIn account and to know their log-in credentials to participate.
Carol Kaemmerer served as a marketing communications consultant in the high-tech medical device space for most of her career. Since 2013 she’s been shining her branding brilliance not on products but on PEOPLE, helping business owners and executives to express their personal brand authentically online via LinkedIn. She is a popular speaker, executive branding and LinkedIn coach and author of the book LinkedIn for the Savvy Executive: Promote Your Brand with Authenticity, Tact and Power. Carol is a member of the National Speakers Association, serves on the Board for its Minnesota Chapter, and is a founding member of the Twin Cities’ Women’s Health Leadership TRUST.
